Overview

An internationally acclaimed golf brand, specialising in all-weather surfaces for some of the world’s top golf courses and training aids for keen golfers needed help to better communicate their unique offering to potential customers.

Using in-house resource and external freelance support, they issued ad-hoc press releases which were being picked up periodically by a selection of the golf press, yet did little to reach potential customers. Wanting to increase their brand awareness outside of the golfing community, they approached Footprint Communications to spread the word.

What we did

  • We researched potential new media sectors, building contact with a wide range of journalists.
  • Identified potential news worthy stories that could help to raise awareness of the product and brand.
  • Created and distributed a number of bespoke press releases and features.
  • Placed competition prizes across a wide range of media including Sky Sports, Men’s Health and the entire Johnston Press newspaper network, highlighting the product benefits to millions of potential customers.
  • Continue to provide ongoing marketing consultancy support for working with third party suppliers and assessing advertising opportunities.

The outcome

Footprint’s work has allowed the brand to extend their reach to new audiences and keep top of mind with existing customers as well as continuing to keep the golfing media up to date. Footprint are now working more closely with the client on a number of other exciting marketing projects.
