Footprint is up for more awards! The Alresford-based Public Relations Agency Footprint Communications is celebrating after being nominated for yet more awards! After winning Outstanding Small Consultancy of the Year at the CIPR Wessex PRide Awards in 2007, they are in the running for further recognition at the 2008 ceremony. The Judges have decided to shortlist Footprint Communications for the second consecutive year in the hotly contested category of ‘Outstanding Small Consultancy of the Year' as well as the ‘Community Relations' Award for their work on the Alresford Watercress Festival. Account Manager, Yiannaki Loizou, 24, from Southampton, has also been singled out with a nomination for the award of ‘Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year'. Mike Kean, Chair of the Wessex CIPR Committee, comments: "The Awards are an ongoing reminder of the high quality PR work being carried out across Hampshire in all kinds of companies and diverse markets. This year I was really pleased to see newer companies represented as well as the better known brands. It's great to show off your top talent and share best practice as this helps the CIPR to raise industry standards." Vanessa Gardner, Director, Footprint Communications, said: "For a young agency to be consistently recognised by the industry in such a way is a huge honour. I'm very proud of our achievements as a team over the last year so to get this far is fabulous news in itself! There's lots of great work happening in the regions. Gone are the days when clients would have to invest in a London-based agency to get results - it's all happening here on our doorstep." The team at Footprint Communications will be crossing their toes (!) until the ceremony, which takes place at The Botleigh Grange Hotel on the 12th November. The winners will then go forward to the national final. |
